Education
Chama holds a Master’s degree in Audit & Risks Management from the University Paris V Descartes, which led her to do a one-year exchange in Lisbon.
What I love
I love hanging out in a CrossFit box where I train every day surrounded by a community focused on bettering itself and achieving goals. I could spend all my (free and non-free) time there; nowhere is better at forcing me to work on my weaknesses and become stronger.
For me, commitment is paramount
Working in the Big 4 and Private Equity funds taught me the value of commitment. When you’re dedicated you always bring your A game to the office, so everything you do there is high quality. That, along with good organisation and responsiveness, is vital in my role supporting compliance and internal controls.
There’s a complex ecosystem behind funds
I handle fund administration and I’m an interface between our funds and third parties. I deal with requests from our investors, our portfolio companies, the Regulator, the depositary bank and the auditors. I love being at the heart of Aster activities and interacting with all parts of such a diverse ecosystem.
It helps to have a broad perspective
I’ve held my position since November 2017 and have a consolidated and clear vision of Aster’s portfolio and performance. Whether in a VC or start-up, being able to access a global perspective is valuable to colleagues whose role makes them necessarily more focused on the day-to-day business.
